Trench coat madness!

As were getting into the colder weather it seems that people are already dusting off their winter coats and the coat that I'm seeing everywhere is the trench coat. Made famous by the mods this coat has come back over the past couple of years and is being warm by everyone!

I personally love this coat because i think it goes with everything especially in this colour and mine has a fur lining so is incredibly warm. Mines from H&M and from memory was about £50 but i have seen pretty much every clothes shop makes them from varied prices. I also think everyone should have one in their wardrobe as they are whats hot for this season and i personally am in love with mine!

Nail Decals!

I have been obsessed with everything nails lately and recently found out about nail decals. I had heard of nail wraps before but not nail decals. I was originally sceptical as the concept reminded me of something i would have loved as a kid but once i read about them i wanted them. I love nail art and doing it myself but there are days where i just want to quickly do my nails and have them looking cute in a short amount of time. If this is you, you will love these decals.

I bought i range of different decals from YRNails to try and found once you get the hang of how to apply them there really quick and simple to do.

  1. paint your nails in a colour of your choice
  2. cut the nail decal of your choice to the size of your nail
  3. place the decal into warm water for about 30 seconds
  4. take it out of the water and carefully pat dry
  5. the design should then easily come of the backing paper and then place it onto your nail where you want it
  6. leave your nail for at least a minute to help it dry and not smudge
  7. once its mainly dry with a good clear nail polish apply a few coats on top to protect the nail.
  8. enjoy your amazing nails
Like i said before at first it can be a bit tricky to do but once you have mastered how to handle the decal and how to get it onto the nail its a really good way to get a pretty design onto your nail.

Hope you like this post and want to try it out yourselves!

Ombre nails!

Ombre nails have been a recent favourite of mine and there super easy to do! For mine i decided i wanted to have my base colour as nude so it looked more simple however if you wanted to do a more vibrant colour it would still look amazing. Then the glitter colour i used to ombre was a gorgeous gold that i thought would look stunning for the autumn. I also loved this nail polish because the glitter sizes were all different so i got a nice built up look.

step 1- Coat your nails in a clear or nude base coat of your choice

step 2- After you've applied your base coat paint on the main colour of your choice. As you can see i used a nude colour because i wanted all of the attention on the glitter however vibrant colours still work

step 3- Once you are satisfied with how your main colour looks apply a thin coat of the glitter all over your nail. As i said the glitter in mine was of all different sizes so it worked well at this stage as the smaller pieces just gave a little bit of glitz at the top of my nail. If your glitter is of medium to small size you might want to skip this step as it will ruin the whole ombre look

step 4- Then about half way down your nail apply another coat

step 5- Repeat step 4 but instead of starting at the same place (half way down the nail) move down slightly so you get this gradual look

step 6- Once you have gotten to the tip of your nail, it should look like it has a slight shimmer at the top of your nail and gradually gets thicker to the tip

step 7- Once you are satisfied with how the glitter looks depending on how the glitter feels dry you may want to put a top coat on. I didn't need too as the glitter nail polish i used meant i couldn't feel the individual piece but you may want a smoother feel to your nail

step 8- Embrace the glitz and show off your amazing nails! At this stage you may want to Instagram them ;)

Hope you all enjoyed this tutorial and love the look as much as i do!

Please if you try the look send me photos of it on twitter as i'd love to see what your creations look like!

Body Shop Moisturisers

I love the company The Body Shop and even though some of the prices can be a little high for those on a budget, i really think they have a good selection of products to invest in. Out of all the moisturisers I've tried the body shops are my favourite so today i want to tell you about two i have been loving the last couple of months.

The first i bought was the Japanese cherry blossom body butter. I have to admit i was first drawn to it because of the beautiful packaging but once i smelt it i literally fell in love. It's a moisturiser that has Japanese cherry blossom extract in it and literally it makes you smell amazing! Whilst wearing this on holiday i had loads of people asking me what perfume i was wearing when i was actually wearing non at all, just the moisturiser. Enough about the smell though the product itself is brilliant. What i loved about this product was i sometimes find the body shop butters to be a bit too thick for my liking which means it takes a while to sink in and dry. However this butter i lighter than the usual ones and takes less time to dry so i instantly loved it more. I also found that i was so moisturising that if i was feeling daring i could have not put on moisturiser the next day and my skin would still feel lovely and soft. I also felt the product made my skin look overall amazing, not just dryness but my skin looked a lot more smooth and cleared up some of my hyper pigmentation. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone so if you can get your hands on it do because i love it! (only £13)

The second moisturiser i have been using and is nearly all gone is the olive body butter. this one i preferred least out of the two but i still loved it all in all. The thing i didn't like as much about it was that it is thicker so it takes longer to sink in meaning that if you impatient it may not be the product for you. However the product does still smell amazing like most of the other body shop moisturisers and again made my skin feel and look amazing! (again only £13 and is on the best sellers list!)

All in all i loved both of these products during the summer and am definitely going to get a new body shop moisturiser for the winter. Even though i have only reviewed two products i have tried many in my time; coconut, Shea, Strawberry and am currently trying the coconut shimmer and the peach body butter. I will keep you guys posted on whether i like them or not.
