Mustard yellow!

Mustard yellow has been by far the most popular colour for autumn/winter that i have seen. It seems like nearly everyone has this colour in their wardrobe or is a colour people want to try but don't know how to wear. My theory is people look at this colour and think 'omg how will i ever be able to pull something like that off'. Well don't you worry because this colour is actually more wearable than you think. Here are some options of how to wear it.

  • scarf
  • jumper/jumper dress
  • tights
  • skirt (not how i would personally wear it but whatever floats your boat)
  • socks (as in the ones you wear that are purposefully on show)
  • Hat
  • Coat
Depending on your style you may even wear mustard trousers however I'm not sure the world is really ready for that. The item of clothing i have in the colour is a swing dress.

I love this dress because it's comfy for when I'm at college, it's autumnal so fits well with the time of year and it's not too short. The only down side is it creases easily but it was only £9 from boohoo.com so i shouldn't really complain. So a little message for anyone a bit scared of the colour is to try it. Even if it is in sock form, it will show your adventurous side and give you a pop of colour for this time of year.

The little red coat

For ages now i have been looking for the perfect phone box red coat and i have finally found one. I have literally fallen in love with a coat but i don't care. The coat i got was from a shop called Joules that i occasionally shop in because of the high prices but when i saw this coat in there i just couldn't bare to leave it on the rail.

http://www.joules.com/Women/Jackets-Coats/Sharbury/Womens-Wool-Coat/Red?id=P_SHARBURY|RE

You can see from the picture that the style is like a 60s style that i love. I have literally been 60s made the last couple of months and when i saw the buttons and the fit i fell in love. Im usually a size ten and quite like my coats baggy however when trying on a size 8 and 10 in the coat i found the 8 gave me such a nice looking figure i decided to go for the smaller size. The only thing that makes the coat a little harder to wear it the fact that it's a three-quarter length sleeve. If you know the weather in England you will know this is a tad of a problem because atm it is absolutely freezing but i will master a way to make the coat work.

The coat also came in two other colours, Mustard yellow and black. I also really liked the mustard yellow version however i wasn't sure how much wear i would get out of it so choose the red instead. I will admit it was a bit pricey however i had been looking for a coat like this for AGES and when i finally found this one i just had to have it, but if this is a bit too expensive to justify buying yourself Christmas is coming up how about putting it on your Christmas list?

Perfume of the month!

Lady Million by Paco Rabanne has been my favourite perfume for nearly 2 years and i absolutely love it! The fragrance i would describe as quite floral so if you prefer spicy perfumes this wouldn't be the one for you. It's also quite a glamourous scent hence why it's called Lady Million so to be it's more of an evening perfume however i have on occasion worn it during the day if I'm going out somewhere special.

I also really love the packaging. It's a glass bottle in the shape of a diamond with a plastic gold looking top. The only thing thats a tad annoying with the bottle is that because of the diamond shape its quite hard to stand up but apart from that the name really fits the bottle.

As Christmas is getting closer i would definitely recommend this as a gift for a female you are looking to buy for. I have also seen there are a lot of deals on this perfume at the moment so its not too pricey (around £35 for a 30ml bottle, 48 for 50ml and so on).

No7 False lashes

I am incredibly picky when it comes to false lashes. I like the perfect balance of looking natural but looking more defined than my normal lashes. For the last couple of weeks i have been trying the No7 exceptional definition lashes and wanted to tell you my thoughts.

After trying the lashes on and off for the last couple of weeks i really love them. From 1 to 10 when on (1 being over the top and 10 being barely noticeable) i think these are at a 5 because they give the right amount of definition and length. The lashes are thinner at on end and then they gradually get thicker.

The only criticism i would give is the adhesive that comes with the lashes isn't the greatest. After wearing for a while they start to come of in the middle and to get them to stick on really well you have to put a lot of glue on which is a pain when trying to get them off. It also means you can't get that many wears out of them because they start to go a bit manky. Apart from that i really like the lashes and would buy them again.

Gamila Secret cleansing bar

I am subscribed to GlossyBox which if you didn't know is a monthly subscription that means you get to try a selection of products for £10 a month. Last month in my GlossyBox i got a Gamila Secret cleansing bar. I had heard of the product before but had never actually tried it myself so when i got it in my box i was extremely excited to use it. I have been using it for about two weeks now and can honestly say it's amazing!

The bar is one that you use daily and can be used on both you face and your body. It's a herbal bar that is 100% natural ingredients that is for both sensitive and problematic skin. This is what made me so excited to use it as i get very oily skin, which means i get spots. Im lucky in the fact that i don't have acne but the spots that i do get usually leave me with hyper pigmentation. The packaging claims to have a healing effect within 28 days and i absolutely agree with that as the day after i used it for the first time i could see noticeable differences. The problem with my skin is i get hyper pigmentation but i also have a few lumps left from untouched spots. I tried so many different masks and washes to try to get rid of them but they didn't work. However the day after i used the cleansing bar for the first time these bumps have drastically gone down in size which i have to say made me ecstatic.

The bar itself is the small version as with the GlossyBox you get to try multiple products however they are the smaller version. However i was pleasantly surprised with this bar because even though it's the smaller version it is still relatively big and hasn't gone down that much in size in the 2 weeks that i have been using it. I must admit the smell isn't that great, i has the soapy kind of smell you get from cheap bars however this isn't an issue for me as that isn't the main aim of the product.

It's only been 14 days and my skin looks amazing so I'm interested to see what it looks like after using it for 28 days like the packaging says. I have been using the product with a body shop tea tree oil though that is a blemish fade night lotion. One could argue that its this product that has improved my skin and not the bar however i have been using this product for over a year now and my skin hasn't improved that much with it on its own. So i did wonder if the two products together has helped my skin but all i know is in the two weeks that i have been using the bar my skin has looked better than it has in years.

How i have been using the products is i take off my makeup at night and then wash my face with the bar and warm water. Once my face is dry i put on moisturiser and the body shop tea tree night lotion and go to bed.

I give this product 9/10, the only thing stopping if from getting top marks it the smell but honestly that doesn't bother me that much. I can honestly say i will be re purchasing this product when it's gone. Hope you found this review useful and helped you with your skin care routine.

Autumnal/Winter MAC eyeshadows

As we are getting further into Autumn i have found myself reaching more for my Mac eyeshadow quad. I personally have a love for MAC products and really believe the eyeshadows are some of the best you can get and are not that expensive (around £10 for each individual pan and £6 for the case). If you live in England like i do you may also find it hard to get hold of Mac products. You can get them in a few shops and online in places like House of Fraser but it's difficult to get the range of products available in the US.

From left to right: Woodwinked, Cranberry, Patina, Sketch
I used to be one of those people that was terrified to use eyeshadow colours that weren't neutral however as i have gotten more confident with makeup i have tried to branch out and try different colours. I know these colours aren't that adventurous to some people but for people like me it can be hard to break out of the natural routine. As it's autumn i think these burgundy/purply colour are lovely for this season and match the colours of the leaves. I also love Woodwinked as it has this really nice browny gold look that i think is especially nice for autumn.

Cranberry, Sketch, Woodwinked, Patina

I especially love MAC eyeshadows because they are so pigmented and are so easy to blend together giving you this amazing smoky look. I really recommend these colours to everyone and hope you found this review helpful.
